THE SENATE HAS ASKED V.PRESIDENT DR GOODLUCK JONATHAN TO ACT AS PRESIDENT

The Nigerian senate has resolved that vice-president Good-luck Jonathan should from now on, function as acting president.
The resolution was reached today at the senate plenary session witnessed by state governors.
The decision of the upper legislative chamber was announced by senate president, David Mark.
It also resolved that Dr. Jonathan should cease to act as president when President Yar Adua comes back to the country and transmit his return to the national assembly.
President Yar Adua has been away to Saudi Arabia for the past seventy-eight days, receiving medical treatment for what doctors diagnosed as acute pericarditis.
