THE OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT ASSURES OF STEADY WATER SUPPLY INSPITE OF DAMAGE TO WATER FACILITIES.

Residents of Abeokuta and its environs have been assured that there is no cause for alarm on water supply situation despite the serious damaging effect of yesterday's downfall on infrastructure.
The Commissioner for water resources Akogun Kola Onadipe who gave this assurance today while inspecting water installations in Abeokuta metropolis to ascertain the situation of water facilities due to the effect of yesterday's flooding said necessary re-adjustments will be made, whee required.
Akogun Onadipe who visited the Ibara booster station- the mini-power plant site behind the Valley-view and the water pipes around the Sokori bridge said Engineers are also going round to effect necessary repairs.
He said directive has been given Engineers in his Ministry to replace the major pipe damaged around the cracked sokori bridge.
He said that the main pipeline that supply water to the town is affected however there will not be water shortage.
